I work with all creative types.  Whether it's music, visual art, the written word, or something else, creating art is an intensely personal experience. It takes courage to share your art with someone – especially a stranger, of all people. It takes courage to ask for help. It takes courage to be willing to improve and get better.

I want you to know that those are all signs of strength and resilience, not weakness.

As I tell all of my students and clients: my only job is to help you, not judge.

How do you help me find my "voice"?

By listening and by challenging you creatively.

Understanding your voice isn't just about realizing and accepting what you are, it's also about realizing and accepting what you aren't.

You'll do creative challenges designed to stretch your artistry, your comfort, and your sense of self in ways that will make you a stronger, connected, and fluid artist.

What makes your perspective unique?

I blend my extensive experience as a licensed educator with my equally extensive experience as a professional, full-time creative.

Other coaches mean well, but they simply don't know how to teach. If you've tried other programs / coaches and they haven't worked for you, that's why.

Absolutely.

No matter what type of art (music, visual, film, written, etc.) you make, creators of all types experience the same types of creative problems. Even if you're a multi-disciplinary artist (like myself!), you can be helped.

What's your approach when things aren't clicking?

I'm passionate about open, honest, and clear communication.

I take great pride in making some perfect for you. If something's not working, we'll switch it up. At the end of the day, I want you to be successful.

Why do I need artistic coaching?

As a kid, I couldn't afford private lessons for anything; I had to learn to do it myself.

I know the power that a mentor can make. Sure, you can do all this on your own, but with me, it'll be like getting on a rocket ship.

Is this expensive?

Short answer: No! This is much more affordable than you might think.
